Nassau hosted the annual Bahamas Speed Weeks sports car races from 1954 to 1966. For 1957, the feature event took place on December 8. Stirling Moss won that main 250-mile race in the #105 Ferrari 290 MM. Second and third places went to Carroll Shelby in a Maserati and Phil Hill in another Ferrari, respectively.
